Entertainment and Relaxation
The Student Union of Jilin University gives dances or organizes shows and sport games quite often. Each campus has its places for exercises and sports such as basketball court, soccer field, table-tennis room, and volleyball court. Most of these are free to students.

To make your study life rich and colorful, some halls of residence for international students set up gym, pool tables, and tables for table tennis. The university has sport clubs for international students, which organize many sport activities. So far, Jilin University's International Student Soccer Team has been the champion, for three consecutive years, in the soccer competitions among international student teams in the Jilin Province.

Student's life is not about luxury. You can have great fun in Changchun yet not costing much. Tickets are very cheap in the cinemas. A new release of Hollywood movies will cost you only 30 RMB. In addition, you may rent DVDs from nearby disc shops and then enjoy them in your room without being disturbed.

The halls for international students also have cafe where prices are low and surroundings are nice. In the city, there are also expensive places including clubs, and pubs with Karaoke, and hotels ranked with stars. Examples are the Shangari-la Hotel and the Japanese Sushi Restaurant.
