Transportation

Changchun is located in the middle part of the northeast region of China with convenient communications. It has not only a well-developed railway network but also the air service that is convenient, comfortable, fast, and safe. You can have a direct flight from here to the Incheon International Airport, Korea, to the city of Sendai, Japan, and to other major Chinese cities. With the gradual development of a motorway network, it will be a good option for you to travel by car.

Transportation in City

There is shuttle-bus service provided by the university to link all campuses together. It is free to the students.

In general, you can find buses in the period from 5:00 to 19:30 every day. The fare is 1.00RMB each time you ride in a bus. Usually, there is no conductor on bus and bus-fare is collected by inserting coins or paper-money into a special box. So, you need to prepare small change beforehand. To make it easier, you have the option of buying an IC monthly ticket card.

From the Qianwei Campus of Jilin University to the downtown areas, there are the bus lines of 315, 13, and 222, plus the city rail (also called light rail).

Changchun taxis are convenient and highly efficient. The start price is 5.00RMB for the first 5km, then 1.95RMB per km. On average, it will cost you about 30.00RMB from Qianwei Campus to the airport, and about 25.00RMB to the railway station.
