Jilin University Museum of Archaeology & Art,formerly the Cultural Relics Room of the History Department, was established in 1955.The museum's first foor is a temporary exhibition hall, which houses fine cultural relics, showcasing and disseminating ancient culture to the public and promoting Chinese civilization. The second floor is the permanent exhibition hall of "The Conjugation of Historical Fragments -Special Exhibition of Northeast Archaeological Culture," which displays Jilin University's archaeological achievements in Northeast China.The museum's rich collection ranks among the topnational university museums in terms of collection volume. There are approximately 8,000 items in the collection,including around 500 precious cultural relics.

The branch museum of Jilin University Museum ofArchaeology & Art opened within City Flower at No.111 Huahong Street, Nanguan district on Jan 18,2025.It covers nearly 10,000 square meters and houses over 400 cultural relics. Four themed exhibitions show calligraphy and painting, bronzeware, traditional Chinese technology and art, and porcelain fom the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368-1911).The exhibitions have rich historical, scientific, and artistic value. They showcase the essence of traditional Chinese technology and the beauty of art.

The Geological Museum of Jilin University, with an exhibition area of 2,000 square meters,is renowned domestically and internationally for its rich exquisite collections and distinctive features.The museum has five exhibition halls- EarthMystery Hall, Life Origin and Evolution Hall.Mineral Resources Hall, Rare Gemstones Hall, Dinosaur Hall, and the Open Laboratory for Teaching and Research.The museum exhibits exquisitely crafted gemstones, uniquely shaped stone, precious fossils of ancientorganisms, and meteorites, with the Dinosaur Hall displaying multiple dinosaur fossils,including skeletons, eggs, and footprints.
