Jilin University (JLU) hosted a forum during the 24th China Annual Conference and Expo for International Education (CACIE) at the China National Convention Center in Beijing on Oct 26, 2023.

The forum titled "Challenges and Opportunities Facing Higher Education under Digitalization" focused on three key topics - digitalization and higher education reform, immersive teaching and traditional teaching, and exploration of future educational models.

Ten speakers from six countries - China, Australia, Republic of Korea (ROK), the United States, Japan, and the United Kingdom, participated in in-depth discussions both online and in person.

ZHOU Xun, Vice President of the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE), Lee Ki-jeong, President of Hanyang University, ROK, and ZHAO Hongwei, JLU's Vice President, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.

ZHAO shared JLU's efforts in digital education reforms through innovations in teaching methods at the forum.

The ceremony was moderated by LI Meihua, Director of JLU's Office of Global Engagement. Over 300 higher education professionals from more than 90 universities and enterprises worldwide attended the forum.

The 24th CACIE, organized by the CEAIE, attracted over 4,500 education professionals, diplomats, and business representatives from more than 60 countries and regions. The event featured plenary sessions, forums, partnership negotiations, and over 100 bilateral and multilateral activities.
