2025-09-29

On September 19–20, 2025, the final round of the 2nd “Kede Cup” China Teaching and Education Innovation Competition for Industry–Education Integration in the Machinery Industry was held in Guangzhou. Hosted by the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society and organized by the Chinese Mechanical Education Union of Excellent Engineers together with Guangdong University of Technology, the competition brought together leading universities and enterprises from across the country.

Jilin University submitted six entries to the Northeast China Regional Competition, all of which earned First Prize and advanced to the national finals. At the final stage, JLU achieved a historic breakthrough, winning one Top Prize, three First Prizes, and two Second Prizes—setting new records for both the number of Top Prizes and the total number of awards received.

The national competition aims to advance the fundamental mission of fostering virtue and cultivating talent while deepening the integration of industry and education, science and education, and vocational and general education. It supports the development of new quality productive forces and contributes to high-quality economic and social growth. The event follows a two-tier structure of regional and national contests with separate divisions for undergraduate, postgraduate, and enterprise participants. This year, the competition received 331 entries from more than 140 universities and involved over 400 enterprises. After document review by 139 experts and regional deliberations by the executive committee, 143 entries advanced to the national finals, where 68 experts conducted two rounds of on-site evaluation to determine the final award recipients.

In 2026, Jilin University will host the 3rd “Kede Cup” Competition. To ensure the successful organization of the upcoming event, 15 distinguished faculty members from JLU’s School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering actively participated in this year’s final. They conducted an in-depth study of the competition’s organizational framework, operational processes, and evaluation criteria, gaining valuable experience that will contribute significantly to the preparation and execution of next year’s competition.
