The opening ceremony of the 22nd "Northern Charm" Winter Camp for Taiwan Students was held on December 26 at Jilin University.

Distinguished guests in attendance included Zhang Yuduo, Director of the Taiwan Affairs Office of Jilin Provincial People's Government; Chen Mei, Second-Class Inspector of the Jilin Provincial Department of Education; Ding Shihai, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Jilin University Committee; Zou Ling, Deputy Director of the Exchange Bureau of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council; and Zheng Tingwen, Secretary-General of the Chinese Youth Exchange Association. The event brought together approximately 140 participants.

At the opening ceremony, Ding Shihai warmly welcomed the students, expressing hope that they would gain knowledge, form lasting friendships, create unforgettable memories in the snow-covered northern region, and further strengthen cross-strait youth friendship through exchanges. He officially announced the opening of the 22nd "Northern Charm" Winter Camp for Taiwan Students and presented the camp flag to the participants.

Since 2002, Jilin University has successfully hosted the "Northern Charm" Winter Camp for Taiwan Students, with this year marking its 22nd edition. During the camp, young participants will engage in in-depth exchanges through thematic activities, including academic seminars, ice and snow experiences, historical and cultural visits, and teacher-student interactions. They will experience the unique charm of ice and snow culture and create shared "Northern Charm" memories.
