The team led by Professor HUANG Hu from the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Jilin University (JLU) has made significant progress in the laser nanopatterning of highly ordered nanodot arrays on silicon surface.
The related findings, entitled Nanosecond Laser Nanopatterning of Highly Ordered Nanodot Arrays on Silicon Surface: Breaking the Monopoly of Femtosecond Lasers, have been published in Laser & Photonics Reviews.

This research was conducted in collaboration with researchers from Jilin University, the Harbin Institute of Technology, the Changchun Institute of Optics, and more. It not only overturns conventional wisdom but also provides a new theoretical perspective.
QIAN Yongfeng, a Dingxin Postdoctoral Fellow at the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering of Jilin University, served as the first author of the paper, and Professor HUANG Hu was the corresponding author.
