FENG Zhengyu, Executive Vice Chairman of the University Council, Jilin University (JLU), met with a delegation from the US-China Green Institute and the Japan-China Talent Development Association on Jan 12, 2024.

The delegation included ZHANG Dalong, Board Officer of the US-China Green Institute, Sadahisa Sugiyama, President of the Japan-China Talent Development Association, and Fujishima Akira, a board member of the same association. HE Yanhong, Secretary General of the Jilin Provincial People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, accompanied the delegation.
FENG provided an overview of JLU, highlighting its key disciplines and collaborations with Japan.
He expressed a desire to deepen ties with the US-China Green Institute and the Japan-China Talent Development Association across multiple disciplines, aiming to promote academic exchange, industrial collaboration, talent development, and research partnerships.
He also emphasized the importance of working together in areas like geriatrics, geriatric nursing, and general medicine.

ZHANG hopes to make use of the platforms offered by the US-China Green Institute and the Japan-China Talent Development Association to facilitate collaborations between renowned scholars from universities and research institutions in the United States and Japan with JLU, particularly in green and low-carbon technologies, food security, and healthcare.
Sadahisa Sugiyama and Fujishima Akira both expressed their commitment to continuing and expanding cooperation with JLU, especially in the cultivation of outstanding talent.
