
BIAN Tie, Vice President of Jilin University (JLU), met with a delegation from the University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ) on Oct 18, 2023.
John Bell, Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Research and Innovation at UniSQ, and Ren Yi, Pro Vice-Chancellor (International), led the delegation.
BIAN welcomed the delegation and introduced JLU's academic strengths. He hoped for in-depth exchanges between the two institutions in relevant disciplines, the cultivation of international talent, and research cooperation.
Bell thanked JLU for the warm reception and careful arrangements. He expressed a desire to further solidify and develop the partnership between the two universities through innovative collaboration models, including short-term student exchanges, joint training, faculty visits, and research projects in areas of mutual strength.
The delegation also held working discussions with many schools, including the School of Materials Science and Engineering and the College of Biological and Agricultural Engineering, reaching a consensus on cooperation in scientific research and talent cultivation.
