Jilin University (JLU) held a working meeting with the University of Trento, Italy, on Sept 20, 2023.

Professor ZHAO Hongwei, Vice President of JLU, Professor Maurizio Marchese, vice rector for the Development of International Relationships at the University of Trento, and Professor Fausto Giunchiglia, a member of the European Academy of Sciences and faculty at the University of Trento, attended the meeting and delivered speeches.

In his address, ZHAO welcomed the delegation from the University of Trento. He reflected on the fruitful achievements over the past 20 years of collaboration between the two institutions and expressed hope that the meeting would expand cooperation and enhance scientific research.

Marchese thanked JLU for its warm hospitality. He provided a detailed introduction to the University of Trento and said he looked forward to broadening cooperation between the two universities, particularly in building platforms for talent cultivation and research collaboration.

As an expert in artificial intelligence (AI), Giunchiglia expressed his desire for continued practical cooperation between the University of Trento and JLU in the field of AI.

During the discussion segment, representatives from both sides exchanged ideas on talent cultivation and research collaboration in relevant academic fields.
