The 19th International Meeting on Chemical Sensors (IMCS 2023) was held at Jilin University (JLU) from Aug 5 to 7, 2023.
The conference was jointly organized by JLU, Northeast Normal University, the Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry at the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and the Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics, CAS.
JLU President ZHANG Xi, Professor Peter Lieberzeit, chair of the IMCS Executive Steering Committee, and Professor LU Geyu, dean of the College of Electronic Science and Engineering at JLU, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.
In his remarks, ZHANG welcomed attendees from various countries on behalf of JLU and expressed hope for enhanced communication and cooperation. He encouraged participants to discuss the challenges affecting the development of chemical sensors and explore new research paradigms.
Representatives from various institutions presented keynote speeches, along with 80 reports, 175 oral presentations, and 133 poster presentations.
The event, which used a hybrid format, attracted over 640 participants from 18 countries and regions, setting a new attendance record for IMCS. The conference aimed to create a dynamic platform for academic exchange among chemical sensors scholars, promote interdisciplinary collaboration, and drive advancements in research within this vital field.
