ZHAO Hongwei, Vice President of Jilin University (JLU), met with Consul General Katae Takashi and his delegation from the Consulate General of Japan in Shenyang on Mar 7, 2023. 

The meeting was attended by LI Meihua, director of the Office of Global Engagement; WU Hao, dean of the College of Northeast Asian Studies; and FANG Ying, vice dean of the College of Foreign Languages. 

ZHAO welcomed Katae Takashi, expressing JLU's commitment to strengthening collaboration with Japanese universities across multiple disciplines. He highlighted the potential for joint initiatives in cultivating top-tier talent and advancing cooperative research in science and technology.

Katae Takashi hoped that this visit would provide insights into the current state of collaboration between JLU and Japanese universities. He pledged further support for educational exchanges and multi-disciplinary cooperation between JLU and its Japanese counterparts in the future. 

Following the meeting, Katae Takashi and his delegation visited the College of Northeast Asian Studies for further discussions.
