In 2022, we faced challenges and embraced opportunities for growth.

Thanks to the collective efforts of our faculty, staff, and students, Jilin University (JLU) overcame difficulties and achieved remarkable breakthroughs. The spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the inspiring legacy of distinguished strategic scientist and geophysicist HUANG Danian continue to inspire and drive the entire JLU community.

In the past year, JLU has made steady advancements in the "Double First-Class" initiative, with several of its disciplines being selected for national development programs. The university has also achieved notable successes in scientific and technological innovation, making significant contributions to the country's strategic priorities, particularly in the fields of basic sciences and medicine. These accomplishments have garnered widespread recognition both within the university and beyond.

Looking to 2023, we will continue to focus on high-quality development, strengthen talent cultivation, deepen reforms, and foster innovation. We are committed to enhancing the well-being and satisfaction of our faculty and students. The JLU community will take on greater responsibilities, move forward with determination, keep pace with the times, and continue striving for excellence in pursuit of new achievements.
