On the morning of September 13th, the opening ceremony of the 3rd Qingshan Lake International Economic Forum was held in the Lecture Hall of Jingxin Building, Jilin University. Han Xiping, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Jilin University Committee, and Ma Shuzhong, Dean of the China Academy of Digital Trade of Zhejiang University and founder of the Qingshan Lake International Economic Forum, attended the opening ceremony as keynote speakers. The opening ceremony was hosted by Ding Yibing, Dean of the School of Economics, Jilin University.

Attendees included well-known academics and scholars from various fields, as well as students and teachers from over 100 universities and relevant institutions across the country.

Han Xiping extended a warm welcome to invited guests, then followed up by introducing the relevant situation of the university and affirmed a series of remarkable achievements and substantive results made by the School of Economics in recent years. He pointed out that the world is experiencing unprecedented changes in a century, and increasing global cooperation.

With the theme of "Open Economy in the Context of International Changes", this session of the Qingshan Lake International Economic Forum aims to conduct in-depth discussions on hot issues, cutting-edge trends and theories in the international economic field, and China’s open economy. He hoped that this conference would provide a valuable platform for in-depth exchange, of wisdom, ideological collision, economic development.

Ma Shuzhong reviewed the foundations and development history of the Qingshan Lake International Economic Forum. He believed that the forum aims to lead in international economic development discussion, to have a platform where new theories and partnerships may be exchanged, and to further expand on China’s international role in the global economy.

After the opening ceremony, Gan Chunhui, Wang Chunchao, Xie Shenxiang, Ma Shuzhong and Ding Yibing delivered conferences keynotes, the forum was hosted by He Huanlang, Dean of the School of International Business of Shanghai University of International Business and Economics.

The Qingshan Lake International Economic Forum was co-founded by 24 institutions in July 2023, originating from Qingshan Lake in Hangzhou and Nanhu Lake in Jiaxing. The 3rd session was hosted by the School of Economics, Jilin University. With the theme of "An Open Economy in the Context of International Changes", this forum gathered the latest research achievements in the field of domestic and international economics. The 3rd forum has provided new perspectives and practical paths for China's economic and transformation, and also built an important platform for promoting China's economic academic exchanges and talent training.
