At the invitation of the Jilin Provincial People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, a 15-member delegation of teachers and students from Japan’s Musashino University visited Changchun on Aug 25.

During the visit, they came to the School of Foreign Languages and Cultures of Jilin University (JLU) and exchanged views with JLU’s students majoring in Japanese. An enthusiastic discussion took place on the applications and effects of digital tools in language learning and cultural perception.

After the seminar, the teachers and students from Musashino University participated in a hanfu (Chinese traditional-style clothing) cultural experience activity. After listening to an explanation of hanfu’s historical origins and cultural significance, they tried on the traditional attire themselves.

They gained a strong appreciation for the structural beauty and elegant charm of traditional Chinese attire as well as a better understanding of the richness and unique appeal of traditional Chinese culture.
