ZHANG Ran, Vice President of Jilin University (JLU), met the Vice President of Kwansei Gakuin University (KGU) Narita Shizuka on Aug 28.

ZHANG extended a warm welcome to the Vice President of KGU for her second visit to Jilin University after 25 years, and introduced the achievements JLU has made in the Double World-Class Initiative.

She reviewed the 43 years of cooperation between the two universities and thanked KGU for its long-term support. ZHANG expressed hope that the two sides will further deepen and expand comprehensive cooperation across disciplines and sectors, ushering in a new chapter of friendship.

Narita Shizuka recalled her unforgettable experiences studying in China and visiting JLU in her early years, and praised the rapid development of JLU in recent years. She looked forward to the two universities embarking on a new journey of exchange and cooperation.
