A delegation led by Senior Official Ikegami Sachiko from Tottori Prefecture, Japan, participated in the Jilin University (JLU) – Tottori Prefecture Exchange Forum on Oct 16, 2024 at JLU.

Professor WANG Shengjin, Director of JLU Northeast Asian Research Center, delivered a speech at the event, which was moderated by Dr. LI Meihua, Director of Office of Global Engagement.

WANG welcomed the delegation, highlighting the strong mutual trust between the two sides and hoping for continued cultural exchanges and multidisciplinary educational collaboration.  

Ikegami Sachiko provided an overview of collaborations between Tottori Prefecture and Jilin Province, expressing gratitude to JLU for its long-standing support in talent development and scientific research. She also emphasized her desire to deepen the friendship between the two regions.  

Prof. ZHANG Meimei, Dean of JLU College of Foreign Languages, introduced the college and its Japan-related exchange programs. Other participants, including Prof. YU Xiao, Deputy Director of the Northeast Asian Research Center, shared their experiences from previous exchanges in Tottori Prefecture.
