Professor CHEN Xiaodong, an Academician of the Singapore National Academy of Science (SNAS), delivered an insightful lecture on Oct 21, 2024 at Jilin University (JLU) titled Designing Your Research Paper.

In his lecture, Professor CHEN focused on incorporating design thinking into academic writing.

He introduced a writing approach aimed at enhancing the impact of academic work and encouraged researchers to adopt design thinking to better meet the needs of their audience, bridge knowledge gaps, and present their findings in a more engaging and accessible way.

The event was jointly hosted by the College of Chemistry and the State Key Laboratory of Supramolecular Structure and Materials at JLU.

JLU President ZHANG Xi, faculty and students from the Colleges of Chemistry, Physics, and Electronic Science and Engineering, as well as the State Key Laboratory of Inorganic Synthesis and Preparative Chemistry and the State Key Laboratory of Supramolecular Structure and Materials, attended the event.
