JLU and ACS sign memorandum of understanding

Jilin University (JLU) and the American Chemical Society (ACS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on June 16, 2024.

ZHANG Xi, President of JLU and Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, along with James Milne, President of ACS Publications, attended the signing ceremony chaired by SUN Junqi, Dean of the Graduate School and Director of the State Key Laboratory of Supramolecular Structure and Materials at JLU.

ZHANG welcomed the ACS delegation and expressed gratitude for ACS’ long-standing support of JLU. He highlighted the crucial role of openness, exchange, and collaboration in advancing the development of chemistry and looked forward to deeper cooperation between the two sides.

Milne thanked JLU for its continued support and commended JLU’s achievements in talent cultivation, research, and innovation. He expressed hope that the MOU signing would lead to further collaboration in scientific research, lab safety, and academic exchange.

Representatives of ACS Publications, including Sarah Tegen, Senior Vice President of ACS Publications, and Amy Lam, Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships at ACS Publications, along with those from the State Key Laboratory of Supramolecular Structure and Materials and the College of Chemistry at JLU, also participated in the event.
