The Changchun International Optoelectronic Expo 2024 opened in Changchun, capital of Northeast China’s Jilin province, on June 18, with JIANG Zhiying, Chairman of the University Council, Jilin University (JLU), present at the opening ceremony.

This year’s expo focused on cutting-edge topics and the latest products in the optoelectronics information field, showcased technological innovations, established a new platform integrating industry, academia, and research, and fostered collaboration within the optoelectronics sector, drawing over 900 participants.

The event also featured a high-end optoelectronic talent recruitment fair, with over 20 research institutes and universities, including JLU, participating. The fair facilitated the recruitment of and technological exchange among top-tier talent, with companies offering high-quality positions and promoting technological collaboration.

Additionally, the winners of the 2023 Wang Daheng Optical Award were announced at the expo, recognizing young scientists for their outstanding contributions to the optics sector.
