FENG Zhengyu, Executive Vice Chairman of the University Council, Jilin University (JLU), met with a delegation from Cadence, a well-known software company specializing in electronic design automation, at JLU on April 10, 2024. Both reached a new consensus on future cooperation.

FENG welcomed the delegation on behalf of JLU and expressed gratitude for Cadence' s computational fluid dynamics (CFD) technology and their support of the university' s student racing team.
He highlighted that Cadence’s expertise in systems, fluid dynamics, electronic design, and computational mathematics closely aligns with the research and teaching efforts of several schools at JLU. He looks forward to strengthening the collaboration between the two sides.


GU Xin, Global Vice President of Cadence, hoped that through deep collaboration with the College of Automotive Engineering, Cadence could help students master advanced industry software, tackle technical challenges, and seamlessly integrate their academic knowledge with practical skills. He also expressed a desire to see Cadence' s products more widely adopted across various disciplines, further deepening the company’s partnership with JLU.

Following the meeting, Cadence' s delegation visited JLU' s base for student racing and automotive wind tunnel laboratory.
Alongside HUANG Zhonghua, Chairman of the College Council, College of Automotive Engineering, GU unveiled the world' s first Computational Fluid Dynamics Joint Laboratory. The lab is supported by Cadence' s advanced CFD software and technical expertise to cultivate international industry talent and bolster the development of JLU' s Gspeed Formula Racing Team.
