Jilin University (JLU) hosted the 2023 Global Talent Recruitment Presentation and International Young Scholars Forum on Dec 29, 2023, combining both online and offline formats.

The event aimed to foster understanding, build friendships, and strengthen cooperation with young scholars worldwide, giving them the chance to share career aspirations and work together towards a promising future.

ZHANG Xi, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and president of JLU, delivered a video address.

Executive Vice President CAI Lidong also attended the event, providing a comprehensive introduction to the attending young scholars and highlighting the university's strategic planning, geographical advantages, academic disciplines, research platforms, and academic achievements, as well as the talent support system.

During the presentation, faculty representatives shared their experiences and insights from working at JLU, offering a personal perspective on the university's supportive environment for young talent.

The online component of the presentation featured a virtual main venue, a policy consultation area, various campus spaces, and 45 college-specific interaction zones. Participants had the chance to explore a simulated campus environment and visit college-specific zones to view videos, slides, and other introductory materials, as well as interact with staff in real-time.

On-site, young scholars toured the university’s School History Museum and Museum of Archaeology & Art. Various colleges also invited young scholars to attend sub-forums, ensuring an immersive and comprehensive experience.
