The 16th International Academic Forum for Doctoral Students at Jilin University (JLU) concluded at the university’s central campus on Nov 17, 2023.

The forum was hosted by the Graduate School and the Graduate Student Affairs Department at JLU. Distinguished attendees of its closing ceremony included ZHOU Qilin, academician from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and JLU’s executive Vice President CAI Lidong.

During the forum, JLU President ZHANG Xi met with academician ZHOU and several renowned professors from universities in Australia, France, and the United Kingdom, expressing his sincere gratitude for their longstanding support.

ZHANG emphasized that JLU has always developed cutting-edge research and fostered talent development through partnerships with world-class universities.

The forum further strengthened academic exchanges between JLU’s graduate students and their peers worldwide, playing a vital role in advancing research collaboration and cultivating high-level talent with a global perspective.

At the closing ceremony, Graduate School Dean SUN Junqi presented awards to the forum’s organizers, while other university leaders presented awards for excellent oral presentations.

The forum, which began in September, featured 15 sub-forums and attracted doctoral students from universities in China, the UK, Australia and France, creating a vibrant atmosphere for scientific innovation and collaboration.
