JLU Norman Bethune First School of Clinical Medicine organizes 2023 Cross-Strait Hematology Academic Conference

The 2023 Cross-Strait Hematology Conference was held in Changchun, capital of Northeast China’s Jilin province, from Nov 24 to 25, 2023.

The conference was hosted by the Hematology Expert Committee of Cross-Strait Medicine Exchange Association, and co-organized by the National Clinical Research Center for Blood Diseases, Peking University Institute of Hematology, and Norman Bethune First School of Clinical Medicine of Jilin University (JLU).

A key feature of the event was a dedicated nursing practice session, overseen by the Hematology Department’s nursing platform at JLU Norman Bethune First School of Clinical Medicine. This session drew over 100 prominent hematology nursing experts from across China.

Focused on hematology nursing, the session aimed to enhance the professional skills of nurses and improve the recovery experience and quality of life among hematology patients. Nursing professionals from 12 hospitals nationwide presented reports and showcased their latest research findings.

During the session, experts reached a consensus on key issues in hematology nursing and reviewed guidelines for autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and CAR-T cell therapy. Lively discussions also tackled challenges in clinical nursing, with participants expressing strong interest in multi-center collaborations.

The Cross-Strait Hematology Academic Conference has become a vital platform for promoting cross-Strait communication and collaboration in the field of hematology.

As a leading institution in hematology treatment in Jilin province, the Hematology Department of JLU Norman Bethune First School of Clinical Medicine has made significant contributions to the care of critically ill patients over the years.
