During the event, ZHANG met with representatives from JLU’s overseas Confucius Institutes, including the Confucius Institute at the University of Buenos Aires and the Confucius Institute at Hanyang University.
The Northeast Center for Chinese International Education of JLU and its Confucius Institutes received multiple honors at the event. The center also showcased the remarkable achievements the university has made in recent years in the fields of Chinese international education, the development of Confucius Institutes, and cross-cultural exchanges.
Since 2009, Jilin University has established three Confucius Institutes and one Confucius Classroom in collaboration with Kyiv National University in Ukraine, the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina, Hanyang University in South Korea, and Russian State Vocational Pedagogical University.
These initiatives have significantly contributed to the high-quality development of Chinese international education and have become platforms for cooperation in higher education and cultural exchanges between China and other countries.
