HAN Xiping, Vice Chairman of the University Council, Jilin University (JLU), met with a delegation from the University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ) in Australia, on Nov 15, 2023.

The delegation included Glen Coleman, deputy vice-chancellor for academic affairs at UniSQ. 

HAN welcomed Coleman's delegation and provided an overview of JLU's history and academic strengths. He hoped both universities would further promote faculty exchanges, foster joint student programs, and embark on international collaborative research endeavors to pursue mutual progress.

Coleman expressed gratitude for the warm reception at JLU. He highlighted the promising future of collaboration between the two universities in agricultural engineering, sports and health, emergency medicine, and veterinary medicine. He hoped for further development of the two sides' partnership in teaching and scientific research.

During the visit to JLU, the UniSQ delegation met with representatives from the College of Physical Education, College of Biological and Agricultural Engineering, Norman Bethune Third School of Clinical Medicine, and College of Veterinary Medicine. Both sides agreed to collaborate in scientific research and talent development within relevant disciplines.
