Tim Albrecht, director of Global Engagement at the University of Birmingham's College of Engineering and Physical Sciences, visited Jilin University (JLU) on Aug 21, 2023.

Albrecht engaged in discussions with several key figures from JLU. These included CUI Xiaoqiang, vice dean of the School of Materials Science and Engineering; WANG Jixin, vice dean of the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering; LI Qiang, vice dean of the College of Computer Science and Technology; WU Guanglu, assistant dean of the College of Chemistry; and Bai Yin, deputy director of the Office of Global Engagement.

Both sides agreed on potential collaboration in chemistry, materials science, mechanical engineering, and computer science, focusing on scientific research and talent development.
