Droplet, sponsored by Jilin University (JLU), was included in an internationally prestigious database Engineering Index (EI) Compendex on Sept 1, 2023, indicating its increasing global influence.

Droplet is an English academic journal published by JLU and Wiley, a globally recognized publishing company. It is the first international journal to comprehensively report research findings on droplets and bubbles.

The journal primarily publishes original research papers, reviews, and commentaries, focusing on fundamental research and engineering applications related to the structure, materials, system design, preparation, and control of droplets and bubbles.

The editor-in-chief is Professor REN Luquan, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, alongside Professor C.J. Kim from the University of California, Los Angeles. The executive editor-in-chief is Professor WANG Zuankai from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. The editorial board comprises 58 internationally renowned experts and scholars from 16 countries and regions.

Droplet is published quarterly and has released five issues to date. It has recorded over 40,000 full-text downloads, and its articles have been cited by top international journals such as Science Advances, Advanced Energy Materials, and Advanced Materials.
