The 2023 Chinese Language Workshop for Jilin University (JLU), Okayama University in Japan, and Sungkyunkwan University in ROK was held online from Aug 21 to 25, 2023.

JLU's Office of Global Engagement and Northeast Center for International Chinese Language Education facilitated this five-day online event, which included 16 undergraduate students from Okayama University and Sungkyunkwan University.

The workshop aimed to enable effective communication in Chinese, help students learn to use key vocabulary, enhance their conversational skills, and deepen their understanding of Chinese culture.

Students were grouped according to their spoken Chinese proficiency levels for targeted instruction. Instructors used rich and engaging images and videos to create practical contexts for using the Chinese language.
