Huajing Maske, Associate Vice President for International Partnerships at Wayne State University (WSU) in the United States, visited Jilin University (JLU) on Sept 1, 2023.

During the visit, a seminar on Chinese language education cooperation and a disciplinary cooperation matchmaking session between JLU and WSU were held.

LI Meihua, director of the Northeast Center for International Chinese Language Education at JLU attended the seminar. Both sides discussed collaboration in training international Chinese education professionals and local Chinese language teachers, emphasizing the need to enhance communication, exchange, and mutual support.

Representatives from various colleges, including the School of Public Health, the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, and the College of Automotive Engineering, participated in the disciplinary cooperation matchmaking session. The two universities engaged in discussions on research collaboration and joint student training, reaching a consensus on further cooperation.
