
Enrique Zuazua, an academician of the European Academy of Sciences and professor at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) in Germany, visited Jilin University (JLU) on Sept 15, 2023, for the Dingxin Lecture Series.
In his academic presentation titled “Control, Cybernetics, and Artificial Intelligence,” Zuazua highlighted the significance of mathematics in the development of human history, physics, and modern industry.
He noted that JLU has a strong edge in mathematics and provides an excellent environment for student engagement. He expressed his hope for further collaboration with the university's mathematics department.
During the Q&A session, Zuazua thoroughly answered questions from faculty and students, sharing insights from his own research experiences and findings.
The lecture was moderated by WANG Chunpeng, chairman of the School of Mathematics Council, and attended by over 300 students and faculty from the Jilin University Association for Science and Technology and the School of Mathematics.
