A delegation of 10 people, led by Kim Woong-hee, vice-president of external affairs at Inha University in the Republic of Korea, visited Jilin University (JLU) on July 8, 2023.

The delegation included Woo Su-keun, president of the Korea-China Global Association; Xuan Chunshun, executive vice-president of the Association of Overseas Chinese in ROK; and the chairpersons of five ROK and Chinese companies.

LI Meihua, director of JLU's Office of Global Engagement, and other university officials welcomed the delegation and introduced the university's global initiatives.

Kim shared an overview of Inha University and expressed a desire to strengthen cooperation between the two universities. Woo emphasized the importance of fostering stronger ties between universities, enterprises, and governments to support China-ROK economic collaboration.

During the meeting, representatives reached a preliminary consensus on driving innovation in talent development and advancing the integration of industry, academia, research, and application.

The delegation also visited Dongyung College at JLU, where they were accompanied by ZHANG Guannan, the college's executive vice dean.
