
A delegation from Jilin University (JLU), led by Vice President ZHAO Hongwei, participated in the 8th Cambridge International Education Seminar, held from July 11 to 15, 2023, at Churchill College, University of Cambridge.
ZHAO delivered a keynote speech and signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between JLU and the University of Cambridge.
In his keynote address, ZHAO highlighted JLU's commitment to advancing global engineering partnerships and fostering the development of engineering clusters within an international framework.
Jointly organized by CL Global Academy, the China-Britain Business Council, and Churchill College, the seminar aimed to promote higher-level exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and British universities and foster academic partnerships.
Representatives from University College London, the London School of Economics, the University of Warwick, JLU, Nanjing University, Beijing Institute of Technology, and Southeast University attended the forum, giving keynote speeches on 12 different themes.
The JLU delegation also toured the Cavendish Laboratory at the University of Cambridge, meeting with lab leaders to discuss the latest research trends and enhance scholar exchanges.
The delegation visited Regent's Park College, University of Oxford on July 14. There, the delegates met with the college's principal to discuss strengthening talent cultivation, collaborative research, and organizing regular global seminars on related topics, and also reached a consensus on future cooperation.
